Terms of static caravan ownership.

Both The British Holiday & Home Parks Association (BH&HPA) and the National Caravan Council (NCC) have recently agreed with the government run Office of Fair Trading (OFT) to offer fairer terms and conditions for those looking to buy a static holiday caravans on uk parks

As the leading industry bodies representing membership from a high percentage of UK holiday parks the BH&HPA & NCC have approached the OFT to discuss a template of best practice terms and conditions relating to purchase and licence agreements for a static holiday caravan pitch.

This agreement forms the key legal contract between vendor and buyer and many disputes relate directly to key issues which are covered within the proposed improvements, including pitch review and sale of static caravan.

These template terms aim to give more transparent terns for customers and will include;

• Increased clarity of rights and obligations of both parties concerned
• Increased clarity of expected behavioural standards.
• Fairer rules with reference to the owners rights when selling a caravan.
• Faire terms with reference to termination terms should an owner wish to cancel and agreement early.
• An improved process for pitch review.
• Preservation of owners rights when a park wishes to move static caravan due to site developments.
• Improved dispute resolution service.

The OFT also publish a leaflet called ‘A Fair Pitch for your caravan’ to help customers seek guidance on unfair terms and conditions in purchase and licence agreements provided to customers by park owners at the time of purchase. For more information visit the OFT’s website.

Caravan Rental For More Adventure

A lot of people enjoy traveling, but sometimes the hectic schedule of a lot of working people does not allow time for this, and because of this, they let go of their dreams to travel across the United States and just prefer to stay at home. Or, they choose one area, like Florida for example, and stay there for the week. But the longing to drive through the endless roads is still there. It will never go away. So, how can you make this dream come true without having to leave at least some of the comforts of home? The easy way is to look for caravan rental.

Hotels Versus Caravan Rental

When you go for caravan rental, you will pay for the whole caravan, not just a room. In hotels, you pay per room, and if you have three friends coming along, then it will mean that you each have to pay for your rooms. But if you opt for caravan rental, then you will be saving yourselves some money as one caravan trailer can have three rooms.

What you see in your hotel windows are what you are going to see for the rest of your stay. But if you opt for caravan rental, then the scenery outside your windows will depend on where you are currently located. Plus, caravan rental allows you to travel and see many places that simply getting a room in a hotel will not.

Visiting Commercial Camping Facilities

Caravan rental allows you to park in commercial parking parks where you can enjoy swimming pools and other facilities like laundry rooms and hot showers. There are also parking parks where you can have access to electricity hookups.

You can also choose among the three kinds of camping parks in the United States. You can go for a recreational camping site where you have the amenities you have at home. You have stores and laundry facilities. If you want a more adventurous camping site, then go for the primitive camping facilities, which can usually be found in national parks. There are even state parks and local parks that allow campers to stay. And if you want to be one with nature, then these national parks also offer you a great experience. You have to know though first if they have rules regarding campfires as some camping sites do not permit campers to build campfires. There are also national parks that require a small fee before letting you use their area.

Caravan Rental for the Senior Citizens

Senior citizens love to travel, especially if they have just retired from many years of working. They see themselves having a good time by traveling across the roads of United States and enjoying the different views. Because of this, there are caravan rental agencies that cater to senior citizens. These caravan rental agencies offer great prices that they will surely love. There are discount coupons and good deals that they only have to choose the agency wisely (as some will want to take advantage of them). There are discounts like 15% to 30% off for senior citizens as well as a day free if they go for a certain package. These caravan rentals can be as low as $20 for a day to as high as $45 per day, but this depends on the berth.

Choosing a static caravan

When choosing a static caravan you will probably look for the holiday park which meets your requirements and then move onto the caravan. Selecting the right holiday park is vital to ensure a long term ownership.

Now for the caravan and looking for the right caravan to suit your needs. Most of the Parks will deal with majority of the manufacturers. If buying directly from the park you will probably deal with a salesperson instead of direct with the manufacturers. You can collect brochures direct from the manufacturers to research all the models and specifications which will not only ensure you choose the correct model but also help you to understand what to look for and choice of different models. To see the caravan you can visit them at key caravan exhibitions as most top manufacturers will display there, see events.

The static holiday caravan has been designed for holiday use instead of full time living. With its modern construction and use of high quality materials the static caravan should be built to British and European standard: BS EN 1647 but some luxury caravans are built to BS 3632 confirming to residential standards.

Normal static caravan can come in either one or two sections with width up to 22ft and 60ft long. If you have a one piece model this is a single unit and the two piece is known as a twin and usually assembled on site.

Decide on how many bedrooms you require as most caravans can be from 2 to 4 bedrooms but up to eight berths. Manufactures will normally have their own layout but will offer a number of ranges depending on your budget.

When it comes to size and specifications you should not only look at all of your own needs but if you are sub letting then there maybe other requirements. This decision should be looked at before purchase, maybe make a list of what you need and what is needed for sub letting.

Budget will normally make your decision also how often you use the caravan and again if you going to sublet. If you will be there for long periods of time then it may be worth spending a little extra to gain more living space or an extra bedroom but if only there for short periods and subletting you may opt for the standard size and specifications hopefully providing you with a better return.
